I met "Mr. Paul" when he moved to The Hampton in Houston where I lead a montyly sing-along. I immediately took a liking to him, how could anyone not? I think the fact that I'm a Louisiana girl helped us to bond. We taled LSU football, Saints football and shared some Louisiana stories. (My grandparents grew up on Bayou Manchac in Ascenscion Parish and he loved to hear my stories about them.) Mr. Paul always made a point to thank me for my music and I always played his two requests, "Climb Every Mountain" and "As Time Goes By" whenever I saw him. In fact, when I saw him last on the first Saturday in February he and I chatted about "As Time Goes By" and how he loved Casablanca and that song. We also talked about the SuperBowl which was the next day. It was sad to watch him slip away, but I hope his family knows that in his final days he brought MUCH joy into the lives of those around him--the staff, the residents of the Hampton and volunteers like me. He always managed to brag on his grandaughter who I hear is a gifted musician. I regret I never got to meet her. I look forward to singing again with "Mr. Paul" in the heavenlies. My prayers are with the family and loved ones.

John, please accept my deep sympathy on your father's recent passing. He was a wonderful man and a great boss. I learned a lot from him and I never forgot him despite the years that passed. I know he's resting in peace with the Lord and your sweet mom. Judy

With deepest sympathy to the family of Paul at this time. My late Grandfather Gervais L. Fourcade, was Paul's first cousin. I had the pleasure of meeting Paul and speaking with him about our shared family history several times.
Sincerely,

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Paul's passing. He was my boss at St. Bernard Bank and was a very kind man who I enjoyed working with. Rest in peace Mr. Paul. My sympathy is with his family.
