Paul Udee Obituary

UDEE Paul A. Udee passed away on April 6, 2009, in Memphis, TN. after a brief illness. Born February 28, 1919 in Gile, WI, Mr. Udee was the youngest of nine children. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII as a surgical tech in a mobile hospital unit in Australia and New Guinea, and then in Jackson Barracks in New Orleans, where he met and married the former Rosary Campiere. Mr. and Mrs. Udee lived in Arabi for 59 years until hurricane Katrina, and the resettled in Memphis. Mr. Udee retired from Bell Telephone Co. as a switchman, and was a long time member of the Gentilly Telephone Pioneers. Mr. Udee is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosary Udee; a daughter, Rosary Ann, and son-in-law John Babin; four grandchildren and their spouses, Christian and Melissa Babin, Garrett Babin, Devin Babin and Stephanie Hendrix, and Allison and Daniel Langston; five great-grandchildren: Ella, Evan, Madison, and Ava Babin, and Kennedy Langston; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, May 5th, 2009 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM, followed by a Memorial Mass beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
