Peter Baptiste Obituary

BAPTISTE Peter John Baptiste entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 13, 2012, at the age of 83. He was born on March 6, 1929, and was a native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie, LA. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dolores Harris Baptiste; daughter Loretta B. Alexander and husband Reynaud; son Kenneth Baptiste, and daughter Yvette B. Steib and husband Gerard. He is also survived by his brother Willie and wife Enola, as well as 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grand-children and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna James Baptiste and Peter Baptiste, Sr. and one brother, Raymond Baptiste. Relatives, friends, parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Katharine Drexel (formerly Holy Ghost) Catholic Churches, Knights of Peter Claver, Jefferson Parish Watson Senior Group, Cytec, Valero Refinery, Jefferson Parish Public Schools, Covenant House and Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 18, 2012, 12:00 noon, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1908 Short St., Kenner, LA. Reverend Richard Miles celebrant. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Rosary and Ritual by Schmodry Council No. 52, Knights of Peter Claver at 10:30 a.m. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, Metairie, LA. Richardson Funeral Home of Jefferson in charge of arrangements.
