Philip Kelly Obituary

Philip "Ross" Kelly passed away on May 23, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his father Wade N. Kelly, his stepmother Dawn Marie Kelly, his brother Michael Todd Kelly, his half sister Amelia Newell Kelly, his two stepbrothers Hunter Williams and Thomas Williams, and his stepsister Lauren Williams. He graduated from Barbe High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana, attended Louisiana Scholars College and was pursuing a degree from LSU in finance in 2010 when his illness required him to withdraw. He assisted in rebuilding New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina as a supervisor of various construction projects and continued his work after his diagnosis as his health would permit. His love of New Orleans knew no bounds. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family for his wit, his courage, his laughter and his good heart.

We send our deepest sympathy to the Kelly family. Ross and our two boys were very good friends when they were all younger and we lived in the same neighborhood. We were very saddened to hear of his illness and death.
