A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:30 pm Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Poplarville, MS for Mr. Preston Stuit, 69, of Poplarville, MS who died Thursday, July 15, 2021 at his home. Preston was born in New Orleans, LA on August 22, 1951. Although he was a man of many talents and retired as an insurance investment broker with Stuit & Associates, his most important and treasured roll was as husband to his wife Dawn, father to daughter Brandy, Papa to grandsons Kyle, Kory, Kade, Kole and great granddaughter Raylyn. He always looked for opportunities to serve his friends, family, and community and most definitely was always ready for a good fishing trip and even better fishing story. Throughout his life he touched so many and will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Theresa Stuit. Preston is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dawn Stuit of Poplarville, MS; one daughter Brandy Davis (Shannon) of Poplarville, MS; one sister Priscilla Ferguson (Bill) of Cypress, TX; grandchildren Kyle Davis (Brande), Kory Davis, Kade Davis, Kole Davis; and great granddaughter Raylyn Davis. Visitation will begin at 3:00pm Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, MS is in charge of arrangements.
