Rosalie and fly.

Our sincere condolences on the loss of your cherished husband and father. We were so fond of Preston. We so enjoyed our days in the Gourmet Club and I (June) will always remember how he always bought me tootsie roll pops when y'all were the hosts.

We will hold dear our visits to him when he was confined to the house.

He will be missed and fondly remembered.

As a 21 year old, I started working at the Cat Cracker in July 1978. I was told that Mr. Preston Weber (aka Mr. Cat Cracker) was the man to get with to learn the unit. He taught us all a lot and he was the most dedicated and hard worker that I have ever met in my life. Preston set the example for all of us by always working hard to improve things. His dedication to his job, his unit and his people were second to none. I know that his family must have sacrificed a lot of his time to Shell and the Cat Cracker. He would take care of us and promote the people that worked hard for him. There were so many people (maint. and operations) that he talked good about and made positive remarks to their supervision. These people were promoted through the years; and rightfully so. When the incident occurred in 1988, I know that Preston was crushed; just like the rest of us. Everyone could feel it and see it' even though Preston was not that verbal about it to us. We all worked together to rebuild the unit. We missed Preston when he retired after the new Cat Cracker was started up in 1992. RIP Preston Weber.....from all of the guys at the Shell Cat Cracker.
