Raymond "Lil Raymond" Albert Jr.

1981 - 2023

Raymond "Lil' Raymond" Albert, Jr. was born August 27, 1981 in New Orleans, LA to Raymond and Emma Albert, Sr. He accepted Christ in 1995. Raymond moved to Newport News, VA at a young age where he graduated from Warwick High School. In 2002, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served 8 years as a Culinary Specialist. During his tenure in the Navy, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Medal. After the Navy, Raymond graduated with honors from Camron College in New Orleans, LA with a degree in Medical Technician. After he obtained his degree, he began working at Ochsner Baptist Hospital as an Emergency Room Medical Technician. Raymond leaves to cherish his memories his loving parents, Raymond (Sylvia) Albert, Sr. of Orangeburg, SC, and Emma Warren-Albert of New Orleans, LA. One sister, Renatia Albert of Murfreesboro, TN. One brother, Randy (Natasha) Albert of Valdosta, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Raymond was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lawston and Charlotte Albert, and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Luberdia Warren. Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church No. 2, 2200 Louisiana Ave., New Orleans, Louisiana 70115. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Burial will take place on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, Louisiana 70460.
