Raymond Franklin was born on September 21, 1957 in New Orleans, LA and passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018. He graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School and attended Southern University of New Orleans and Holy Ghost Catholic Church under the spiritual guidance of his pastor Father John Cisewshi. Husband of Loving Wife, Dessa Stewart Franklin. Son of the late Ora Lee Diggs and Fred Franklin. Grandson of the late Violet Allridge Diggs and Raymond Diggs. Father of Joan, Lisa and Tapica Sparkman. Brother of Arthur, Thomas and Anthony Briggs. Also survived by 2 aunts, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also Priest and Parishioners of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church (formerly Holy Ghost C.C.) are invited to attend the Visitation on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, 2015 Louisiana Avenue from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.
