Reina Margarita Irias-Duron

Reina Margarita Irias-Duron passed away at the age of 87 on September 29th 2017 at her home in Boerne, TX. She was the widow of Efrain Irias-Duron . They shared 50 years of marriage. She was a longtime resident of New Orleans, LA. Born in Puerto Cabeza, Nicaragua on June 19, 1930 to the late Issaic and Edith Downs. She was a retired Certified Nurse's Aid in the Greater New Orleans, LA area. Her hobbies included Gardening, Bird Watching, Crocheting and Word Puzzles. She is survived by son Efrain (Gloria) Irias, daughter Reina (David) Moody, daughter Sandra (John) Gara, son Sigfrido (Sarah) Irias-Duron and son Aldo (Nona) Duron. She is also survived by 2 nephews Dowal and Darryl Barrett, 9 grandchildren Freddy Oyuela, Vickie Sias, Dave Moody, Jacob Moody, Raynaldo Gara, Stephen Gara, Jamal Irias-Duron, Aldo Duron jr. and Brooke Duron as well as 9 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by husband Efrain Irias-Duron, father Issaic Downs, mother Edith Downs, daughter Marcia Valladares, sister Amalia Barrett and sister Norma Harrod. The Visitation will be held on Friday October 6, 2017 at 9:00am to 11:00am followed by the Funeral Service at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home 3827 Canal St. New Orleans, LA 70119.
