ROBERTSON Richard James Robertson, Sr. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date for Richard James Robertson, Sr., 82, who passed away on October 10, 2012. Mr. Robertson, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of the late Preston James Robertson of Baltimore, Maryland and the former Ellen Gannon of New Orleans, Louisiana. He was an avid New Orleans Saints Fan. He was a decorated veteran having served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Richard loved playing baseball and played for the United States Army. He loved to dance and go bowling. He was a dedicated runner and walker who ran every day until he could no longer run, but continued to walk his six miles. He was a retired bus driver for the city of New Orleans after 32 years of service. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his daughter, Victoria Louise Murphy, and her husband Paul Edward Murphy of Lafayette, LA; his son, Richard James Robertson, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Slidell, LA; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and his sister, Dianne R. Cuquet and her husband Dennis of Waggaman, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents Ellen Gannon Robertson Mouledous and Preston James Robertson; his wife, Sylvia Norman Coglaiti Robertson; his daughter, Katherine Ellen Robertson Roberts; three sisters, Elizabeth R.
