Robert Joseph "Rocky" Blanchard Jr.

Robert 'Rocky' Joseph Blanchard Junior died peacefully at home in the arms of his wife of 49 years, Patricia Peyton Blanchard, on Monday, September 16, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rena Mae and Robert Joseph Blanchard Senior; and his father and mother-in-law, Eugene and Emma Ray Peyton. He is a devoted and loving father to Melissa (Matthew) and Josh (Leidy). The oldest of 8: Ryan (Barbara), Royce (Priscilla), Randy (Earline), Rhonda (James), Rory (Karen), Rudy (Bernie), and Rennis (Kittie). Brother-in-law to Diana, Donald (Marcia), and Stephen (Robin) Peyton. He is the uncle and godfather to many. A lifelong resident of Marrero and graduate of the 1964 class at Immaculata High, he cared deeply about his roots and his community. He will always be remembered for his humor, honesty, and love for his family and the music of Fats Domino. In lieu of flowers, please make food donations to St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank in Immaculate Conception Parish. He will be deeply missed by anyone who ever knew him. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 12 pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Marrero, LA. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
