Bob was a remarkable man whose intelligence, whit and kindness influenced generations of people in St. Tammany. Bob was about to make his acceptance speech as president of the Covington Rotary Club, November 22, 1963 at lunch when events overcame things. He will be missed.

Sorry that I was unable to attend Bob´s funeral mass today. I always enjoyed my time spent with Bob, whether it was fishing at the Taj or the trips we took to the camp in Dulac. Those are still some of my fondest memories. I spent many years having lunch with Bob on Thursdays at Rotary and a hand full of rounds of golf with him at BC. I can still remember the Easter trips to Gulf Shores State Park with such a wonderful group of people and the Good Friday Fish Fry complements of Bob. So many good memories, he´ll be missed.
