Robert George "Bob" Bowser

Robert "Bob" George Bowser passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014. Bob was a devoted husband to his wife of 68 years, Lillian Graythen Bowser, whom he married on October 16, 1945. He was also the proud father of three children: Robert W. Bowser, Helen Bowser Brister, and Larry Bowser. Bob was a loving grandfather to Wade Bowser, Melissa Wallace, Rose Anne Brister, James Brister, Joshua Bowser, Ruth Bowser, and Isaac Bowser, and great-grandfather to Devin Brister, Gabrielle Brister, and Brendan Ricks. He was a welcoming and generous father-in-law to Charlene Bowser, Richard Brister, Penny Bowser, and grandfather-in-law to Glenn Wallace, Aaron Chandler, and Angela Brister. On Saturday, July 5, 2014, the family welcomes all to a visitation time at 10:00 am in the Metairie Baptist Church Sanctuary at 401 Codifer Blvd. in Metairie, LA. The family will then celebrate Bob's life in a service at 11:00am. Following the service, refreshments will be provided in the Fellowship Hall. The family requests that attendees wear Bob's favorite color - red. The family also requests, in lieu of flowers, that those who wish to honor Bob's commitment to the church and the community make a donation in his name to Metairie Baptist Church.
