Robert Jobes Obituary
"RB" was a talented craftsman, carpenter, and a self-employed builder of custom homes in the Jersey Shore area. He also worked for Rathjen Custom Homes, Brielle.
He is predeceased by his parents, Carroll and Mary Jobes. He is survived by his daughters, Joy Rinehart of Brick and Judy Davies of North Plainfield; and his companion of 50+ years, Josephine Jankos of Brielle. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Evan, Emily, and Jonathan; son-in-law, Douglas Davies; and his niece, Patty.
The Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan, NJ is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Brielle First Aid Squad, 710 Old Bridge Rd., PO Box 262, Brielle, NJ 08730.

Dear Joy and Judy,
My thoughts of your Dad bring to mind his loving smile I remember from childhood as well as during our visit this past summer. It always reflected his care and concern for us, and Don used to tell me how RB was like a father to him. Don fondly reminisced about RB sharing his interest in archery with him when he was young. And, of course, great Marine that he was, your Dad certainly went above and beyond the call of duty helping us deal with life's tough times. Your Dad was the best Uncle, and we loved him very much!

In my Jersey Shore childhood days back in the 1960s, I recall Mr. Jobes working to improve neighborhood homes with his many skills. While some guys in the building trades would just tell kids who dropped by to scram, he had many kind words and would patiently teach you about the basics of carpentry and his craft. He brought good lessons and good cheer to our neighborhood.
