Robert Sears Jr.

Robert Sears, Jr. entered eternal rest at his residence on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the age of 82. He was a native and resident of Gretna, LA. Robert was a retired machine operator with River Birch Landfill. Devoted husband of Des M. Sears and the late Mary Elizabeth Sears by first marriage. Loving father of Robert Sears, Mark Williams, Dr. Adrienne Sears, Shamia Goldman, and the late Dandra Williams, Bryant Sears, and Michael Williams. Son of the late Robert Sears, Sr. and Elizabeth Marshall-Sears. Grandson of the late William and Victoria S. Marshall, and Cleo Turner. Brother of Marshall (Lenovia) Sears, Reginald (Dionne) Washington, Sr., Amanda S. Johnson, Cleo "Vicki" Sears, Renita (Charles) Pitts, and the late Lalita Cole, Marsha Lenox, Roberta, Philip, George, Lisette R., and Raymos Sears, Sr., also survived by 25 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family and members of Fraternal Order of Masons, and Weekend Riders are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Gretna United Methodist Church, 1309 Whitney Ave., Gretna, LA on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the above-named church.
