Roberto Colmenares Obituary

COLMENARES Roberto Colmenares, a retired welding engineer with Gran Colombiana Merchant Marine, died Saturday, July 16, 2005 at his home. He was 85. Mr. Colmenares was born in Boyaka, Colombia, and lived in Metairie, LA for the past 60 years. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Colmenares; three sons; five daughters; a brother, Jorge Colmenares; a sister, Maria Lusia Colmenares; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Park.
