My brother, Roger, used to take me to see Godzilla movies when I was just a little kid. To me, he was just like Godzilla - larger than life, and that's what I always called him. My husband was closer to Roger than he was to his own brother. I will always remember him as he was in life - courageous, fiercely loyal to his family, and my big brother. Ya understand? hmmm

To my sister, Cindy Silva Mack, my brother Roger was a hero. When her car broke down he was there to help her no matter where or what time. After the storm he put windows in her house. He was always there to help her and she was there to help him. Cindy loved Roger.
To her husband Bob Mack: Roger, was his best friend. He helped Roger with his boat when he was sick and alone. All Roger wanted to do is make that big haul and he would be ok.. Bob loved my brother and never turned his back on him when he needed help; not even when he died.
I,Dian Silva, have loved and fought with my brother Roger for 59 years. He used to hang me by my hair in the yard, but I loved him and I will always love him, ya hear!
My son Shane adored Roger. Roger would visit Shane in the middle of the night and they would go to Morning Call together. Roger loved my son and my son loved Roger. My son said Roger is,"The Ghost Rider in the sky". My son felt protected by Roger.
Cindy,Bob,Shane and I are grateful for all of the memories that are shared with us. Roger was the last bit of glue that kept our family together.
His grandson, Trey said it best when he stated," Pawpaw IS NOW THE THUNDER IN THE HEAVENS!"
Roger lived like thunder on the earth. Some people feared him,but we loved him.
May my brother rest in peace. He was very tired.
