Ronald Michael McNeil Sr.

McNEIL Ronald Michael McNeil, Sr., age 83, of Diamondhead, MS, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at his residence. Mr. McNeil was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew T. and Lucille G. McNeil; and two sisters, Lois Freund and Kathleen Derry. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Tuzette P. McNeil; three children, Ronald M. McNeil, Jr., Thomas P. McNeil and Susanne McNeil Eng and husband Darren; sister, Marilyn DeLatour; 7 grandchildren, Michael McNeil III and wife Sarah, Jennifer Mae McNeil, Sarah Elizabeth McNeil, Monica L. McNeil Bundock and husband David, Lindsey R. McNeil, Eli A. Eng and Asher V. Eng; and 3 great grandchildren, Aubrey Elise McNeil, Peyton Jacob Lee and Bailey Quinn McNeil. Mr. McNeil was a native of New Orleans and had been a resident of Diamondhead for the past 20 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, serving in the Korean War. He drove a bus for New Orleans Public Service and retired after 40 years of service. His fellow drivers and passengers loved "Big Mac." Mr. McNeil was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian. He loved sports and was an avid Saints fan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the church. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 29 at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian, MS, where friends may visit 30 minutes prior.
