Rosalie Stern Obituary

STERN Rosalie J. Stern at New Orleans, LA on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 4:00 PM. She was born in Chicago, IL to the late Bessie and David Goldsmith. Survived by two children, Cynthia Lee Nagle and Michael Jerome Wilner (Kim) and five grandchildren. Mrs. Stern attended the University of Wisconsin and Lake Forest College. Upon moving to New Orleans in 1963, she became active in several organizations, primarily Touro Synagogue Sisterhood. She served on the boards of National Council of Jewish Women, Arthritis Association of LA, Jewish Family Services, Cancer Crusaders and Women's Division of the Jewish Welfare Fund. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the graveside services from hebrew Rest Cemetery III Mausoleum, 2003 Pelopidas at Frenchman on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., in charge of arrangements. Information: 504-835-2341.
