MANSBERG Rose (Rody) Wainer Blackman Mansberg, age 101, died on Sunday, March 14, 2010 in Winter Park, Florida. She was a lifelong resident of New Orleans and moved to Winter Park after Hurricane Katrina. Wife of the late Harry Blackman, Harry Katz and Emanuel (Buddy) Mansberg. Mother of the late Marilyn Blackman Katz (Leon) and Janis Blackman Ekman (P.J.). Daughter of the late Harry and Hannah Wainer. Sister of Lester Wainer (Beverly) of New Orleans and the late Uri Wainer, George (Buzzy) Wainer, Dinah (Daisy) Berins, Sigmund Wainer and Sarah Berger. She is the grandmother of Alan H. Katz of New Orleans, Howard Ekman of Todo Santos, Mexico, Shellie Katz Jacobson (Terry) and Randi e Ekman Porobil of New Orleans, and Marci Katz Greenberg (Scott) of Winter Park, FL. Great grandmother of Rachel Jacobson Barr of Atlanta, GA, Benjamin Jacobson of New Orleans, Hank Greenberg of Winter Park, FL, Sara Greenberg Bier of New York, NY, Jessie Greenberg of Winter Park, FL, Zachary Jacobson of Cleveland, OH, Jonathan Porobil of Austin, TX, Jordan Katz, Harry Porobil and Hannah Katz, all of New Orleans and Cosima Ekman of Todo Santos, Mexico. Great-great grandmother of Ethan J. Barr of Atlanta, GA. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Gates of Prayer Cemetery-Joseph Street, New Orleans. Rabbi Robert Loewy officiated.
