Ruben Barrios Obituary

Ruben James "Jimmy" Barrios Jr. passed away peacefully on September 23, 2018 at the age of 54 years. Beloved son of Ellen Evans Barrios Lopitz (William "Bill") and the late Ruben J. Barrios Sr. Brother of Laurie Elizabeth O'Baugh (Richard) and Stacie Barrios. Uncle of Triston Barrios, D'Andre Barrios and Bailey O'Baugh. Also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Jimmy graduated from John Ehret High School, Class of 1982 and attended L.S.U. He worked for Creole Cuisine and served as General Manager for several area restaurants. He was a diehard fan of the New Orleans Saints, L.S.U. Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed. Donations in his memory may be made to the Matthew Shepard Foundation (www.matthewshepard.org). Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 11am to 1pm.
