Memories and Condolences
for Ruby Bray

Not sure what to say?

What can I express at a time of bereavement? Ask God Almighty to give me words of condolences for Ruby's fine family. To live is Christ and to die is gain. No cross no crown! I know my past good friend, Ruby has made it into heaven because of our previous closeness which included acknowledgements of God"s existence and how awesome he is since we both were delivered. The Good Lord knows that we also had some wonderful worldly times and the Lord looked beyond our faults and rendered favor on us. I will remember Ruby's smiles and laughs more than anything. Sorry that I found out on the same day of her dismissal after it was over from my daughter, Possy in Austin who saw it on Facebook. I would have loved to have paid my last respects but God knows my heart. Stay strong family and remain closely knitted in God's unchanging arms as he carry yall through this sorrowful time. Remember Psalm 23 and live it as Ruby did.

I can't find the words to say, because this one's kinda hard. Never did I imagine I would be signing a guest book for you this soon. After everything we have been thru from the time I met you, you have always been a fighter. I know God seen you were tired of fighting and stepped in like he always does. I remember like it was yesterday when I was fighting for you. (LOL) The mother of my 1st LOVE, you were just as much of a mother to me as my own mother. You had my back, and I had yours! Everybody knew that. The talks, the tears, and everything else. I will never 4get. My girl! I just told Shun, I won't believe this until I witness it with my own eyes. Don't worry tho Ma'RubyLee I got our boy! You know that's gon always be my baby just like you use to say. Man, Im gon miss u! I loved you then, & I love you still.
TO MY BIG SISTERS VANESSA & KEISHA: I'm here! I been here 20yrs, so y'all should know I'M GON BE HERE!! Nothing's ever gonna change that. The sisters I never had, but always wished for, and was blessed with. I LOVE Y'ALL 4EVA :)
TO MY LIL BABY SHANNY MAC: Thanks for keep'n me posted. I LOVE U! U kno Ive ALWAYS been there 4 u & Ima ALWAYS BE HERE. U been my lil baby since I 1st laid eyes on u on the bus(LOL)I kno this a hard one, but continue to stick close to the family, & with GOD'S grace & mercy y'all gon make it! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
DEDRICK: You've always been a strong dude. This is the time u need to be strong for EVERYBODY. U know how we talk, so I know u gon know what to do. But if for any reason YOU need some one to talk to...HOLLA @ ME! I LOVE U MAN.
TO MY 1ST LOVE, MY CLYDE, MY BABY'S FATHER: U know one thing. U taught me a lot. We've been thru so much, & we've done a lot. Whether good or bad, I had ur back. We all knew the bond u & ur mom had, & I kno ur hurt'n, but just look at it like this, SHE'S NOT HURT'N NO MORE. She's doing much better than u & me right now. Just kno Im here for u like Ive ALWAYS been if u need me, or if u need to just get away. I LOVE U WITH ALL MY HEART! ALWAYS HAVE & ALWAYS WILL. U kno that. :)

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
