Ruby Smith entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Wife of the late Clarence Smith; Daughter of the late Johnny and Corine Jefferson; Mother of Albert (Germaine) Jefferson, JoAnn (Kevin Sr.) Perkins, Louella Galloway and the late Johnny Jefferson, James (Oneka) Jefferson, Haley Jefferson, Charlene N. Smith and Dianne Ekenta; Sister of the late Robert George Jefferson Sr., J. C. Jefferson; Hattie Mae Johnson, Carlee Holmes, Ethel Lee Washington, Johnnie Mae Thompson and Velma Jean Lewis; Nana of Kelviroyonne Ellis, Neshell Lewis, Kiya Lewis, Calvin Lewis, Renee Lewis and Delvin Lewis. Godmother of Coreen Lewis and Kenneth Polk Jr.; Grandmother of Courtenay LaRoche, Keisha Humble, Joy Pauline, Kawanee Ingram, Quintin and Portia Johnson, Kristie (Keokuk) Davis, Kevin Perkins Jr., Denzell Parker, Marquita, Curtis, James Jr., Sherlese and James C. Jr. Jefferson, Hope, Tia, and Faith Dreux, Shannon (A.J.) Morehead, Rochelle Polk, Telma Pink, Nicholas Burfect, Brian Blanks and the late Reginald and LaHattie Jefferson. Also survived by a special son, Terry (Shirley) Bonney, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
