Rudy LeBlanc Obituary

LeBLANC Rudy LeBlanc passed away on Friday, November 9th, 2013 at the age of 73. Rudy is survived by his sons, Rudolph III (Trey), Christopher and Pierre LeBlanc, his beloved partner Pattie Schof, two grandchildren, Zane and Cort LeBlanc and extended family. Born June 13, 1940 in New Orleans and a graduate of USL, Rudy led an active social and sporting life. He had a zest for life and a joy that was contagious and always made you smile. He never ran out of energy when it came to enjoying life and he enjoyed every day to its fullest. Rudy was an active member of OTMAC for over 20 years and the camaraderie and friendships formed through that organization were among his greatest joys. He loved all things New Orleans especially live local music, Jazz Fest, the MOMS ball and Mardi Gras where he marched with Krewe de Vieux and Mondo Kayo. He was a positive presence in the lives of those that knew him and an example to all; a great father and friend. He was timeless. He died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones and will be deeply missed by the many people who called him friend. The family has created a memorial page on Facebook; In memory of Rudy LeBlanc, where friends can post comments, memories and pictures. A celebration of Rudy's life will be held in true "Rudy style" (see the memorial page or email [email protected] for details). In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Rudy can be made to: The American Heart Association, Tipitina's Foundation, Krewe de Vieux or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
