Scott Warner Obituary

Scott Michael Warner, 25, passed away on May 22, 2014 at his home in Destrehan LA. He attended Kehoe-France School and graduated from Isidore Newman High School in 2007. Following his graduation from Newman, Scott worked for his uncles at Julius Kaaz Construction in Leavenworth, Kansas. Scott always had an interest in Architecture and decided to attend Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia. During his time at the college Scott was very active in the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) and worked as a licensed soccer referee. Scott loved to help people and donated many hours helping others less fortunate than himself. He enjoyed discussing and sharing his interests in architecture, social and environmental issues, art, music, and animals. While attending SCAD Scott sustained a life-altering leg injury which eventually necessitated his return to Louisiana for his medical care and family support. He bravely fought his illness for more than 3 years before succumbing to complications related to the illness. Scott is now with his Heavenly Father and his grandfathers, James D. Warner, Jr. and J. David Kaaz. Scott leaves behind his parents Bruce and Sandra Warner, one brother David Warner, and one sister Melissa Warner. He is also survived by his grandmothers, JoEtta Kaaz and Jean Warner, aunts and uncles Anne Richardson (Mickey), Diane White, Stephen Kaaz (Vicky), Greg Kaaz (Connie), cousins Jody Kaaz, Reins Robertson, Jeff Kaaz, Matt Kaaz and Lauren Tarwater. Scott will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends are invited to attend the celebration of Scott's life on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at St. Charles United Methodist Church, 1905 Ormond Blvd., Destrehan, LA 70047. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM and will be followed by a memorial service led by Rev. Tim Larson at 1:30 PM. The family requests donations to the St. Charles United Methodist Church at the address above or to the St. Charles Parish Humane Society, 921 Rue La Cannes, Luling, LA 70070.
