RIP Scotty Moore✝. I really enjoy listening to you and watch you playing the guitar on film clips from 1950s. My favorite clip is when EP is singing, money honey and camera zooms in on you, and catches your sound. (That clip was filmed in black and white) That is/was great work. My condolences to the Moore family for your loss.

I will never forget all the Saturdays we had cutting firewood, talking about music, eating cheeseburgers and laughing. Pretty cool stuff for a boy from Oregon! We were pals, and that meant a lot. Rest in peace sir!

Thank you scotty.... you made me the guitar player I am today, I was raised up on your sun studio style and even today at 51yrold i still have the same es-295 Gibson that I played for years with YOUR finger picking and palm mute style and played that style in my old home church to southern gospel tunes we had there. Everyone commented that I played a unique style and only the old timers there balked about it was to rocky and rolly for church music haha, nevertheless the younger crowds who never heard the you on elvis sun music thought it was all my style and loved it!!

I am so sad to learn of the passing of Mr. Moore. My thoughts, and eternal prayers, go out to his family - loved ones - friends - etc. Mr. Moore was a good man who shared his talents with the world. His name will always be linked to greatness because of his talents. Without Mr. Moore Elvis would not have been given the chance to "jam" before Sam Phillips and Elvis' musical aspirations may never have happened. Mr. Moore was Elvis' first manager and Mr. Moore was a good man and a great musical talent before, during, and after Elvis. I am so very sorry. I don't have the words to fully express....
May God grant the family time to grieve. Time to heal. And time to recover and to know that Mr. Moore, and the love from and too, will never cease.

I am so sad right now since I just read Scotty Moore died. He was such a great friend to Elvis and everyone. One of the great guitar players on Earth. The Elvis "legends" are dying off and it makes me even sadder to read about any of them. Pretty soon we won't have the greatest band there ever was with James Burton and the rest. May Scotty rest in peace and may God Bless His Soul!

Scotty Moore was the reason I took up the guitar, as so many others did. His intros, solo's and endings are fantastic. He was so crucial to the Elvis sound with his riveting playing. RIP in Heaven with all of your family & friends.

Is lucky enough too sit and talk with Scotty back in the eighties, Being a fan of Elvis this was an honor, but being a fan of Elvis you have to be a fan of Scotty, as he was the music behind the man.I don't know when ever met a more humble respectful man as Scotty. He was a talent only matched by Elvis. R.I.P. Scotty I will be listening to your music for the rest of my lfe.

Scotty truly enjoyed his instrument, the guitar, and performing with it. His association with memorable performers in memorable places at memorable times makes him, just that much more, missed and mourned by many fans and people. To his shocked and grieving family and friends, l leave these words of comfort and reassurance: " Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully you residents in the dust ! For your dew is as the dew of the morning. And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah26:19
Respectfully submitted with sincere condolences and sympathies.

I met mr. Scott Moore in 1988 on lower boardway we became friends on the spot we stop on a sidewalk and got to talkIng the next thing I knew we was best of friends some people just click like that two of a kind you could say we share apartment together for awhile. Untill i went back to east Tennessee mountain to live. He was a wonderful and caring and loving man we had plenty of laughs drinks and most of fun I can see us in the world famous tuff as it was yesterday. He got me started in music he was a great influence on me still today this day writing songs and playing the guitar I remember he was so proud of a belt buckle he wore all the time that Elvis got him. and we would stay up late hours into the night talking about Elvis and his career with him. I will dearly miss you my friend.I love you. I know in my heart you and Elvis are up there rocking the angels and God is smiling upon yall clabbing thunder he dearly love his family and talk about them often it was a time in history that know one could understand our friendship he share to me was personal stuff that I will always cherish in my heart I love you Scotty and God how he loved those cowboy boots he wore. and the flowery shirts and blue jeans when we went into the bar. We never ever had to pay for anything. And the tuff band would let him play and sing a song from the past. God the people went crazy to hear him sing. A lot of people don't realize he was as good as a singer as Elvis was. I guess he hear him sing so much it put the sound of Elvis inside him. you will be dearly missed my dear friend. I love you until my day keep the angel dancing and rocking up there see you soon get ready to pick one for me.
