Shanea Elliott Obituary
She leaves to mourn her mother, Kimberly Carswell; her father Andrew Elliott; stepmother, Kenyatta Elliott; her grandmother of the home, Evangeline Subaney; her uncle, Bryan Hamilton of the home; her brother, Jerrod Elliott; her sisters, Jasmine Elliott, Tyiesha Carswell, Kelli Singletary of Washington DC, Tracey, Cassandra, Kiya and Mimi, all of Raleigh; her great- grandparents, Carolyn Minor of Washington DC, Mazel and Henry Crawford of Upper Marlboro MD and Walter and Marion Elliott of Murfreesboro NC.
The family will gather at the home of Andrew and Kenyatta Elliott, 2436 Shepherd Valley Street, Raleigh, Friday and Saturday.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Temple United Methodist Church, 1021 Oberlin Road in Raleigh. Family visitation and viewing will be held a 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Professional services for our dearly departed loved one have been entrusted to Lightner Funeral Home, 312 Martin Luther King, Jr Blvd., Raleigh, NC 833-1676.

Shanea,
This is Jasmine....known as Delonda's cousin. I know I didn't know you as well as others did, but I do know that everytime I saw you, you were smiling about something. One of the best known memories that I have about you is when we all went to Emerald Pointe, You, Rock, Me, Marcus, Delonda, and Erica. We had such a great time.

Shanea you were a dear friend of mine, even though we kind of grew apart somewhat in our first year of college. No matter what happend then we got through it and made up with each other. I was very happy when we started talking again, I even called my cousin crying happy tears because we were friends again. I will always remember the first time you took me to a party..we had soo much fun. You will always be missed, loved, and cherished in my heart for the rest of my life. We were seperated at one point through out our high school years, but we reunited with each other. Until that day we reunite again you will never be forgotten by me my sister/friend. I Love You!!!

To Shanea's loved ones, I will lift you up in prayer, for I, too, know the heartaches of losing a loved one. My heart ached when I saw my former student's picture in the newspaper. A perfect young lady in my classroom, she was joyful, fun-loving, and hard-working. Im sorry that i didnt keep in contact with you as i should have but just always remember that you always have a spot in my heart where you kindness and wonderful personality has made an major impact on me and all of your other friends and family. To the Elliott Family i would like to send my deepiest,dearest sympathy to you,really from the bottom of my heart. First time i every meet you all,you welcome me as part of your family remembering Brian and Shanea running around laughing and playing almost inseparable, it seems like yesterday i was listening to Shanea express her dreams and admoration. I prays got out to each and everyone of you of the family. I never got a chace to meet your daughter.. however, she reminds me of my sister. She has such a sweet and innocent face that I cried when I saw that she passed. I am happy in one sense becasue the Lord only picks his favorites. I am so blessed because that is another solider fighting for the lord while in heaven.

My condolences to the Elliott family. Shanea had a beautiful soul and I am certain that she is praising God with it right now. I am so thankful to the Lord for blessing my life with her. She was truly a brave, strong, beautiful, kind, and loving person. We loved her at Wislon Temple and will miss her dearly.

I cant belive this has happen to one of Gods angles that he had on earth. You befriended me as soon as I met you and gave me alot of advice and confidence to help me through the rought times I was having myself. I was looking so forward to having you as one of the greatest friends in my life.We was just together sitting on the bed laughing, eating chips and talking about boys. Who knew that it would be my last time seeing you. Shanea I loved you like a sister. You were honest,respectful,loving,and caring. God put you in my life for a reason. It was only a short time that you were in it but it felt like a life time. I know you are in the heavens above looking down on all your friends and family, b/c you were truely a havenly and earthly angel. Now the lord has called you back home to be with him.
