Sharon Evans Obituary

Sharon Ann Molina Evans, a true Angel on Earth, took her heavenly Father's hand and departed this world on Monday, October 24, 2022. From the moment she was born in New Orleans on June 19, 1957, she has been a light in this world. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Ann Molina, and her father, Arthur Humphrey, brother Michael Molina, sister-in-law Toni Molina, and niece Patrice Franklin. Sharon, or "Tee" as many call her, was many things to countless people - wife, mother, aunt, sister, friend, confidant, chef, interior decorator, and a light of a woman. No one was a stranger to Tee, and the echoes of her "hey my baby" can be heard and felt from miles away. Sharon graduated from McDonogh 35 Senior High School and Xavier University of Louisiana and spent 30 years working diligently as a Senior Practitioner Liaison with the IRS in New Orleans. When she wasn't working, Tee found joy in talking on the phone, shopping, laughing until her stomach hurt, cooking, arranging flowers for friends and family, spending sweet time with her poodle, Biscuit, traveling, dancing, and enjoying life to the fullest. She was a two-time breast cancer survivor and spent the later years of her life volunteering with the Slidell Ladies of Liberty. She was a faithful member of the Slidell Church of Christ. As an Angel in heaven now, Sharon continues to look after the truest love of her life, her husband Harold Evans, her daughters Whitney Evans Snardon (Corbin) and Raven Evans, grandson Ray Hamilton, her brothers Ronald Molina (Kim) and Gerald Molina (Claudia), her siblings Rita, Arthurine, Valerie, Linda, Ivory, Sandra, Arthur, Bonnie, Janine and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, best friends, sister friends, and each person whose life she has touched. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Southern University of New Orleans (Auditorium), 6400 Press Drive New Orleans, LA 70126 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Private Burial. All those in attendance are encouraged to wear a face mask. You may sign the guest book on www.gertrudegeddeswillis.com Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home Inc., In Charge (504) 522-2525. Tee was always a special person whose light shown bright even as a child. I have so many memories from our childhood to now that I'm able to look back on and smile and sometimes laugh out loud when recalling the funny and laughter we shared. She was not only my cousin but was like a little sister. I will miss her so much. Especially that smile and her laughter that would make you laugh even if you were having a bad day. Love you Tee and will miss you. Until we meet again, my Fav.

The loss of Sharon came as shock, when my son called me, I was numb. It took me some time to get over these words: "Auntie Sharon" died.

To the World's Best Sister-In-Law and Aunt, you will be forever in our hearts.
I thank God for the friendship we developed over the years and how Ms. Dorothy and the Molina family adopted me and my kids.
Harold, I will always be grateful to both of you for your guidance with Lloyd. Harold, The World´s Best "Brother In-Law and Uncle.
To my nieces Whitney and Raven, The World´s Best Nieces, stay close and lean on each other for comfort and strength. I know you ladies will take care of your dad.

Love

To Harold, Whitney, Raven and all the loved ones of Sharon "Tee",

My deepest sorrow and sympathy for our loss. Sharon was my friend, confidant, and soror. We graduated from McDonogh #35, then from Xavier University of Louisiana together. Thank you for sharing her. What a beautiful person to know. She will truly be missed (missing now).

Everyone who knew "Tee" will smile everytime they think of fond moments with her. Her essence had that effect on all that had the pleasure of meeting her. Be assured she will be smiling down on you and watching over you from her heavenly home. May you be comforted and provided strength now and in the days ahead.

I met Sharon at McDonogh 35 and my fondest memory of her is us riding bikes on Sunday from her house on St. Claude to the lakefront and city park. Don't know how we lost touch through the years but reconnected at our class reunions and look forward to that great reunion in glory. Harold, Whitney and Raven I know you do too and may God bless and keep you until that day.

I don´t even know where to begin. Sharon was one of kind. Always smiling & she had a smile that lit up the room. I helped her with event for Hispanic month and she was so excited when she learned I was getting married. She offered to make all the flowers for the wedding as a gift to me. It just so happens that my anniversary and her birthday are both June 19. Also when my daughter was in a nursing home in Slidell, Sharon would take the girls to see her and bring her my love. I am sending prayers for the entire family.

Sharon and I met at Xavier University. She was such a kind person and a joy to spend time with. We didn't remain in contact, but I recall seeing her name from a program and gave her a call. It was a joy to talk to her again and felt like all the time apart disappeared. Her light, kindness, joy, and our time together remain in my heart.
May God bless and keep you all in His loving care.

Sharon and I met almost three years ago exactly, at a local hospital when she accompanied my cousin to the ER. We bonded immediately and communicated daily since our first meeting. We referred to ourselves as ‘Supreme Problem Solvers’ due to our long, glorious, schemingly friendly phone talks!! She was a true Sister-Friend whom I miss and shall never forget. Three years she blessed my life with friendship, sisterly love, loyalty and sincerity; everything other than longevity!! God bless, my friend
