Sharon Offner Loeb passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the age of 82. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 27, 1939. Spouse of Milton J. Loeb of 63 years. Mother of the late Ellen Loeb Gandle (Bruce Gandle), the late Jesslyn Loeb Schilling (Paul Schilling). Loving grandmother of Alexandra Gandle Fisher (Jeff) and Peter Gandle. Adored aunt of Joanne Jacquish (Dan), Allen Covert, Lauren Greenberg (David), Gary Oelsner (Lisa), David Oelsner (Michelle), Lorraine Kirkorsky (Mark), the late Mark Cotler, Dane Cotlar, Paul Gottsegen (Wendy), the late Danny Gottsegen, Ricky Allen (Kathy), Lou Allen (the late Monique), Kurt Allen. Sharon being an only child was very close to her cousins Carole Katz, the late Stephen Covert (the late Betsy) and the late Mark Covert (Abby). She is also survived by numerous grand nieces and nephews who she adored. Sharon graduated from Fortier High School and attended the University of Illinois. She was an active member of the National Council of Jewish Woman and was life member of Hadassah. She enjoyed volunteering at Touro Infirmary gift shop for many years as well as the Jazz Fest Beer Tent for the Kiwanis. Sharon worked at Harry's Ace Hardware which grandfather founded. Sharon never met a stranger. She would talk to anyone and everyone. She was an incredibly strong person with an amazing spirit! Everyone who met her loved her.The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Lambeth House for their compassion and care. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 10:30am in Hebrew Rest #3, 2101 Pelopidas St, New Orleans, LA 70122.
