Sherman "Spark" "Sparky" Louis Gilmore, an Auto Mechanic, departed this life on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the age of 49. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Sherman was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School. Beloved husband of the late Sophia Dunn Gilmore. Devoted father of Sherman, Shaina, and Jai'Kwon. Stepfather of the late Byron Dunn. Loving son of Larry Morgan and Linda Gilmore Morman. Stepson of the late Wade Morman and Janice Morgan. Grandson of the late Kathleen Littleton, Mangold Gilmore, Jr., Curtis and Willie Mae Morgan. Brother of Ruben Morgan, Wade Johnson, Patricia Gilmore (Troy) Hogans, Tammie Gilmore (Dion) Smith, LaTanya Gilmore, Rosalina Morgan. LoTany Morman, and Keisha Johnson. He was preceded in death by 1 aunt, 5 uncles, and 5 cousins. Sherman is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero LA on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
