Sidney Peterson Obituary

Sidney Adolph Peterson, a retired employee with Gretna Machine and Iron Works, on Wednesday, July 28, 2004. Beloved husband of Patricia Labit Peterson. Father of Peter Louis Plaisance and Karen P. West. Brother of Roland Joseph, Ana Mae P. Allain, Alma P. Albrecht, the late Paul, Percy and Christine Peterson. Son of the late Sidney John Peterson and Viola Bouchez Peterson. Survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mr. Peterson retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years service. He was a WW II and Korean veteran, received a Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Age 85 years. A native of Slidell, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA for the past 36 years. Mr. Peterson was a member of the Aderation Chapel of St. Cletus Catholic Church, Fleet Reserve Association and AARP. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral Mass at St. Cletus Catholic Church, Gretna, LA on Monday, August 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation at Mothe Funeral Homes, Inc. 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey at 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
