I want to thank the friends and family of my sister Sisel. I will be at a loss for a long, long time and will need the help of you all. I will always remember the good times with Sisel but will never forget the lessons I learned from her these past difficult months. She took with her a wisdom that was lost on most of us though she was ignorant of how much we loved her. I hope she can feel all of our affections now...I'm sure that she can. Leslie Pierce

Goodbye Sisel. Long time no see. Back in Lafayette and New Orleans, when you shared a house with my sister Beth and then with my girlfriend Laurie, you were always full of good fun and excited about the possibilities of paint and bodily motion. I hope you're painting now, free of disease and boundlessly at loose in the universe. Good luck out there. We'll all join you soon enough.

Such an incredibly open mind, such a wonderful spirit...Sisel you made friendship so hard at times, but so worth the effort. You were uncompromising in your friendship and that seems a lost art.

I am saddened and sorry for your loss Rebecca and Lauren, I wish I could be there to tell you in person, and to you too, Leslie and Barry. Your sister was a dear friend, I will miss her.
