To My Beautiful Family,
God saw her getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around her
And whispered “come to me”
With tearful eyes we watched her
And saw her pass away
Although we loved her dearly
We could not make her stay
A golden heart stopped beating
A precious soul at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
Just remember to keep your hands in Gods unchanging hands.

Mrs Hickey was very, very special. It seems that God doesn't make folks like her any more. We loved her and have been missing her for a long time.
We are praying for the family.

Aunts Lois, Cleo, Ursula, Cynthia, JoAnn and Daddy Warren-
I was so blessed to have been a part of the beautiful celebration you all provided to Ms. Hickey Monday. My children and I loved and respected her so much and to have only known her such a short 6 years doesn't seem long enough but it was a great joy to have known her that long and to have been touched by the love she showed us all. To Ms. Hickey's other children, I mean no disrespect in not including you in my sentiments about your mother, I just did not get to know you all to speak with you about her, but I am sorry for your losses as well and all of you are in my prayers nightly. Your mother and my childrens' great grandmother was a beautiful lady and knowing her will be a cherished blessing I will carry with me always. Thank you Aunt Lois and Daddy for your hospitality while we visited last weekend and we love you. Aunt JoAnn, I hope you are feeling better after the repass and you are in my prayers most of all right now I think.
Love,
Kellie, Brianna and Etienne Juluke

Mrs. Hickey was a pillar of our community and one in which I am very proud to say helped raise me. It takes a village to raise a child and she had no shame in setting a child straight. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord - I have no doubt that Mrs. Hickey is now with her maker & creator. The 7th Ward lost a jewel but she gained her crown. To the family, stay stong and stay together. Your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, etc., has made a great impact on everyone she embarked upon. Not everyone can do that! She will be greatly missed but much loved & cherised as her memory lingers on.
God Bless you all!

There are not enough words to say how my heart hurts. Aunt Hickey has a special place in my heart. I know why my daddy loved her so. She was so lively and full of laughter. A lady that was so loving. My love and prayers to all of you- this is truly a great loss.
