Stephanie Nicole Link

LINK Stephanie Nicole Link, age 29, departed this life on Friday, January 25, 2013. She died peacefully at home in LaPlace, LA with her mother, Kalila Smith by her side. Stephanie was born on March 1, 1983 in Charlotte, North Carolina but lived most of her life in Metairie, New Orleans, and LaPlace. She graduated from East St. John High School in 2005. She held the runner up title in Little Miss Special Louisiana and won first place in talent the same year. Stephanie loved life and embraced all it had to offer, while touching the lives of many. Her smile and laughter were radiant. She loved animals, swimming, playing pool, painting, dancing, and video games. Additionally, she loved to act and appeared in numerous productions. Her favorite book was Alice In Wonderland. She is survived by her mother, Kalila Smith, stepfather Sidney Smith, stepbrother Justin Smith, sister, Chastity Bowen, and her nieces, Amber, Megan, and Brittany Pearson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 10:00am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 444 Metairie Rd., Metairie, LA 70005. Interment immediately following the Mass in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
