I went in for my eye exam today and saw dr. Meyer's photo on the counter. I ask the receptionist why it was there and that is when I found out he had passed away. I was in shock. I no idea he had passed away. I was his patient for many years. He always treated me with kindness and professionalism. I can't express the sadness I feel by his passing. I'll miss his smile and all the joking around we did. I was one of the first patients he did lascivious on. My sentiments go out to his family. It want be the same office without him

It has been nearly ten years since I worked with Dr. Meyer as a circulating nurse at Fairway Medical Center. I loved his surgery days! He was meticulous with his surgical performance and gave the absolute best of his talent! As a member of the crew working with him, you knew it would be a great day! He always had a smile on his face and when he laughed, it was truly contagious! He was a jokester and full of fun! His large, burley appearance held a huge generous heart! He loved Hunter and talked about him so often. He saw each one of us as a friend and sought me out to seriously talk to me about my potential partial knee replacement. As leary as I was, he told me grandchildren would be in my future and I needed to do this to actively play with them. I am so sad to know he is gone, but when I think of him, I can't help but smile! He touched so many and will be truly missed! My heart goes out
to his family.

I am very saddened to hear of Dr. Meyer's passing. He was my doctor for 20 years, he will be greatly missed. We had many lively conversations over the years, especially when we talked about health care & politics. We both have grandchildren the same age and he spoke very lovingly of his grandson, Hunter. He was a very kind, funny,& smart, special man. Praying for your family, with deepest sympathy, Ann Dalton

Dr Meyer was a friend as well as my MD. I had the pleasure of working alongside him and was always amazed he could tie such small sutures with the hands of a shot-put record holder. We always shared a laugh when we would meet. I am sad to hear of his passing, and hope for the best for his family.

I was shocked to see Dr. Meyer's obituary in the newspaper. I certainly have missed him at his office, not knowing that he was sick. He was such a delight to 'visit' with, sarcasm always, wonderful & professional doctor. So many of us will miss him forever, but will have fond memories of him.

This man helped guide me and several buddies into the men we've become today, and will be truly missed. Mr. Steve was the most caring and genuine man around, was always upbeat and a pleasure to be around. Well, except for the times he caught us screwing around on Landon's dirt bike, or when Ryan would ride his dirt bike without his permission!
I, along with many friends had the pleasure of being welcomed into his home with opened arms throughout high school. He and Mrs. Sherry treated all of us like we were their own kids. Their house was always the one we gravitated to every Friday and Saturday night. I still don't know how they put up with all of us, and I damn sure don't know how they were able to feed all of us!! Rest in peace Mr. Steve!! Sherry, Ryan, Jarred, and Landon, y'all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sherry,
I was so sorry to hear about Stephen's passing. We used to reminisce every year when I went for my eye checkup. Our mothers were sisters, and Andree was my godmother. I don't know if you remember me, but he's been in my prayers since Conrad told me he was in the hospital. I'm on my way to Florida with friends for Christmas, so I'm unable to attend the funeral. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Gayle
