Stephen Reynolds Obituary

Reynolds Stephen Ainsworth Reynolds, 68, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 18, 2016. He was born in New Orleans, LA on September 4, 1947. He was preceded in death by his father, Mercer William Reynolds, his mother, Irene Skarke Reynolds, his brother, Mercer William Reynolds, his sister, Irene E. Reynolds, his niece, Catherine V. Brim and his mother-in-law, Mary C. Brigtsen. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 wonderful years, Mary Crosby Reynolds, his son, Stephen Mercer (Kirksey) Reynolds, Sr., his sister, Jane R. Brim, his grandchildren, Mercer, Bridget and James Reynolds, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kay and Dan Laird, his nephews, Jonathan Laird, Matthew Laird and Christopher (Rachel) Crosby, his niece, Michelle Downs, his great nephew, Jack Downs and his great nieces, Virginia, Joy and Hannah Crosby. Stephen served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He worked as a carpenter and mechanic during his lifetime. He could build or repair almost anything. He loved to read and was an avid fisherman. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Ave., New Orleans, LA on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:30AM. Interment will be at All Saints Mausoleum, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Southern Dominican Province, 1421 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA or the charity of your choice is preferred.
