When I began Seminary in 1990 I met this woman who quickly became like a sister to me. Susan was one of those ladies that once you met her she touched your soul with her grace, kindness and her love for the Lord. I remember she always left me with a scripture, a prayer. When I had my first child Nathanael she loved him and was so kind to my little family. She was one of the strongest women I have ever met who was on fire for her Lord. Susan, I am so honored to know that I was able to call you friend. Billy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

What a great example for us of service and dedication to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I did't have the pleasure of knowing Susan for long but she made an impact so much that I remember her loving character and was great friends with her brother Craig (I have been trying to locate) Loved all the Borden family they were awesome people!See ya in Heaven Susan!

Billy, Mona and I have prayed for you and Susan through the years, before and since your move to Malawi; AND God has answered so many of those requests with a resounding YES! It is obvious that we were in sync with His Will through our requests so often. This time, His response was to say no to our human desire for temporary healing. Rather, He said yes to His permanent, absolute, and complete healing which can only be accomplished in Heaven in His perfect presence. So, our prayers now focus on you and your need for a special touch from the Father. We know that His Will includes an affirmative response to our cry for help for you, for the family, and for those of us who called Susan friend. We are praying for you every day.

Susan let the light and love of Jesus Christ shine. Through their lives, her parents showed this lost Catholic child that salvation was not through a church, but through asking Jesus to be your Saviour and forgive you of your sins. Thankfully, she and I both came to the Lord in time. Now she is receiving the rewards for the great missionary work she allowed the Lord to do through her in NYC and Africa. May the Comforter wrap his arms around Billy, Diane, Nancy, Craig and all those who were blessed by knowing this very special lady.

Susan and I attended Seminary together and shared many classes. Through this we became good friends while there. A couple of us guys took the role of "big brother" and were very protective of her. Even to the point when her and Billy started dating. Our conversations with her about this matter were usually "Okay, what's this guy's intentions and do we need to talk to him?" Deep down we knew these two were meant for each other. A great godly woman who knew who she was and the direction she needed to go.

Susan was a beautiful soul who loved life, loved to laugh and loved to dance. She was sophisticated and had great style which she coupled with grace and compassion and showered liberally upon even the least of us. Her faith was real and ran deep. And as she said to me in the last e-mail I received from her "She was my sister by law and in the Lord in the great family of God." RIP

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. God loves us so much that HE created us with the desire to live forever, not to die.-Ecclesiastes 3:11. Death was never a part of God's purpose for us, it was the penalty for sins past on to us. We will not always pay for what our first parents done to us. That's why God sent His Son to die for our sins. Only God's Kingdom will bring peace, happiness, perfect health, and everlasting life~ Matthew 6:9, 10.
