Susan Stassi Obituary

Susan C. Stassi died at home on March 24, 2021, at age 64. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Marguerite Choina. She is survived by her husband, Robert G. Stassi, her brother, Wayne Choina (Phyllis), her sister, Debbie Choina (Gary), her niece, Dr. Reshelle Marino (Joe), her nephew, Aaron Ruiz (Allison), and her stepsons, Robert S. Stassi (Amie) and Gregory L. Stassi. She was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and worked for many years in the administration of a prominent New Orleans law firm. She enjoyed traveling, Jazzercise, marathons, old movies, reading, and networking on social media.The family wishes to thank Dr. Elaine Lanasa, nurses Gayle and Daniella, and nurse assistants Jamie and Kyra, all of Compassus Hospice Care; and also, aides Ashley and Tammy of Southern Caregivers; for their exceptional skill and professionalism in caring for Susan. In accordance with her last wishes, there will be no memorial service. She will be cremated and her ashes will be strewn on the beach in Bay St. Louis, where she spent many happy days in her youth.
