My dad first introduced me to Terry when they were working together at WDSU. Years later I also had the pleasure of working with him at WDSU. I remember him as smart, kind, helpful and considerate. In the list of people I have worked with in my life - Terry will always be in the top few.

Reading of Terry's passing, brought to mind July 1942. Terry, Glen Gautreaux, and I left New Orleans for boot camp, company 4-11, in San Diego. All three of us left San Diego for electrical school at the University of Minnesota. We were known as the three G's: Guidry, Gerstner, & Gautreaux. Terry's mother visited him in Minnesota. I remember visiting her on St. Ann Street on my first leave, a warm, gracious woman. One of my last memories of Terry was when our two destroyers( his the Grayson, mine the Ellet)were tied together to transfer torpedoes to the Grayson. Terry will always be fondly remembered as one of the Three G's.

I met Terry when I began as a high school intern at WDSU. It would have been easy to dismiss someone new and young but he was always very generous with his time and talent. Sending lots of prayers your way...
