Thelma Williams

WILLIAMS Thelma Williams., a retired nurse from Touro Infirmary Hospital., died at Lafon Nursing Home of the Holy Family on Mar 3, 2013. She was 84 years old. Mrs. Williams was lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. She was an ardent layperson and church greeter at St. Paul the Apostle Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Willie and Mary Ward Sr., her husband Alton Williams Sr., three sisters: Daisy Lee Ward Hartsfield, Dorothy A. Bowen and Fannie M. Branch four brothers; Thomas, Wilbert, Willie Jr., and Jessie Ward Sr. Survivors include two sons; Alton, Jr. and Larry Williams Sr., (wife; Namoi); one sister Annie B Hawkins and one brother Howard Ward (wife Sarah) another sister-in-law Daisy Ward and a brother-in-law Norman Bowen. She also leaves to mourn a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family; pastors; officers and members of St. Paul the Apostle Church, other family members church home; and Lafon Nursing Home of the Holy Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6828 Chef Menteur Hwy., NOLA on Saturday, Mar 9, 2013 for 11:00 A.M.
