Theophile "Tex" Rousselle Jr.

Theophile (Tex) Rousselle, Jr. passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, at the age of 91. He was preceded by his beloved wife of over 56 years, Ruby Waguespack Rousselle. Tex was a devoted father of Kevin Rousselle, Lisa Rousselle Merritt (James), Rene Rousselle (Angelle), and was preceded by his son Keith Rousselle. He was also Pawpaw to Perry Sanchez, Chad Merritt (Brenna), Mitchell Rousselle, Sierra Merritt, Melissa Merritt, Dustin Rousselle, and Kyle Rousselle. He was great-grandfather to Salem, Deacon, and Elora. He was the son of the late Theophile Rousselle, Sr. and Eulalie Ockman Rousselle. Brother of Roger Rousselle, Curtis Rousselle, and Patricia Baudoin, as well as the late Louis Rousselle, Grace Landry, and Ralph Rousselle. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. A native of Lucy, a resident of Luling for over 65 years. He graduated from Edgard High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed and retired from Monsanto Chemical Plant. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener, but he also had a love of reading western books. He was a true jokester, he loved to make people laugh, and he will truly be missed. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at his church, Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling, on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Charles Mausoleum in Luling.
