Theresa Schexnayder Roussell, age 93, answered the call of her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Mrs. Roussell was born in Chicago, IL and then moved to Louisiana as a small child. Daughter of the late Joseph E. Schexnayder and Laura Legaux Schexnayder. Wife of the late Harold L. Roussell, Sr. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roussell was also preceded in death by her siblings, Audrey Schexnayder Peters, Rudolph, Sr., Joseph, Jr., Norbert, Henry and Darrel Schexnayder, Sr. She is survived by three children, Harold L. Roussel, Jr., (Carol); Alan P. Roussel, Sr. and Debra R. Wilson (Edmund); seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Theresa will forever be missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends, Priest and Parishioners of St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, staff of Lafon Nursing facility and Norte Dame Hospice Care, are invited to attend the funeral. A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life and legacy of the late Mrs. Theresa Schexnayder Roussell will be held at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 5029 Louisa Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 10 am. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation 9 am in the church. Due to COVID-19, face masks and social distancing are encouraged. Please sign online guestbook at www.charbonnetfuneralhome.com.
