Thomas Montgomery Obituary

Thomas "Tommy" George Montgomery, January 12, 1961 to February 6, 2024. Husband of Sheree. Father of Kelsey and Madalyn. Son of the late Charles and Theresa Montgomery. Son-in-law of Linda Asprion and the late Raymond Asprion. Brother-in-law of Raelynn Tingstrom. Brother of Mary (Bob – late) Kelly, Patricia (Butch – late) Little, Anita (Pershing) Delaup, Charles Montgomery, Jr., Libby (Russell) Bonamour, Paul Montgomery, Cathy (Allen) Lorio, Laura Montgomery, Margi (Pete) Williams, and Jeannette Montgomery. Uncle to Chris (Jenn) Kelly; Jay (Linda) Pastor; Jeanne (Chris) Russo; Danielle (Nick) Hill; Joey Montgomery; Matt (Kandie) Montgomery; Michelle (Trevor) Schermer; Christie (Randy) Smith; Ben Lorio; Kyle (Katlyn) Lorio; Alex (Sarah) Lorio; Kate Lorio; Kaleta, Dereje, Merhawit, and Birke Gaspard; Jesse (Courtney) Williams; and Mallory (Seth) Crowe. Great Uncle to Colin and Kaitlin Kelly; Kaitlyn and Jason Pastor; Chloe and Caroline Russo; Carter and Connor Hill; Josephine Montgomery; Brecken and Elliya Montgomery; Daniel, Elijah, and Remi Bonamour; Chase and Callie Williams; and Nathan and Coleman Crowe. The founder and owner of TSKM Enterprises, Tommy was a dedicated worker who forged loyal relationships with his customers. Yet, he never missed a vacation with his family, especially one to his favorite place, Walt Disney World. More than anything, he loved traveling because it gave him a chance to be with his wife and two daughters, who meant the world to him. In turn, he meant the world to them and his extended family, who will always cherish the time they spent laughing, playing, and making memories with their husband, father, brother, and uncle, someone who was as helpful as he was loving. Tommy was an active lifelong parishoner at St. Benilde Catholic Church, and his steadfast faith strengthened his love for his church community. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Benilde, 1901 Division St. in Metairie, on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will be private. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. Information 504-835-2341. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpcares.com. In lieu of flowers, masses preferred, or donations may be made to Alice Birney Elementary School and Harold Keller Elementary School.
