Thomas Frederick Pratt Sr.

Thomas Frederick Pratt, Sr., a long-time resident of St. Bernard Parish, passed away on April 17th 2015 at 9:55 in the evening. The Korean War Veteran was 87 years old. Born in 1927 to Agnes Bauer and Walter Pratt in New Orleans, he was a hard worker from the very beginning. At the young age of 15, Tom started at the American Manufacturing Company and worked his way up to be a successful sales representative for Sans Souci. Tom didn't have to go far to meet the woman of his dreams, who worked upstairs at American Manufacturing as a seamstress. Out on the town with a group of co-eds, he ""crossed a room"" to ask Audrey Six to dance and they quickly became known as the ""Sweethearts of American."" The rest is history: she was the love of his life and they were constant companions during all of their 65 years of marriage. He is survived by his children, Dianne Muller, Kathleen Willis, Marleen Billiot and husband Chuck, and Tommy Pratt, Jr. and wife Cyndi, as well as his grandchildren, Jessica and fiancé Matt, Adam and wife Raquel, Tracy, Noah and wife Laura, Neil and wife Amy, Taylor Thomas, Regan, Chrissie, Shannon and husband Jason, and Bradley Wayne and wife Marie. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Juliana, Aaron, Adelaide, and Jacques as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by son-in-law Wayne Willis, and grandchildren Lauren Muller and Charie Billiot. Tom, also known as ""Daddy,"" ""Paw-Paw,"" ""Mr. Tom,"" and ""Pratt,"" will be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing and his no nonsense straight talk. But above all, he will be remembered for how much he loved spending time with his family, frequently requesting, ""Come back and see me when you got more time."" Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation with the family at E.J. FIELDING FUNERAL HOME, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday April 25th 2015 from 9 AM-10:30 AM. There will be a memorial celebration at 10:30 AM followed by a Catholic Mass starting at 11 AM. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA. The family would like to express special thanks to the wonderful caretakers at the Trace Assisted Living Facility.
