Many cherished memories of Spud are tucked down deep in my heart, especially the memories of when we were kids playing in Aunt Eunice's yard near Hatcher,AR. In later years when I talked to him, he always had a smile on his face. I have no doubt that he is smiling in Heaven like he always smiled when he was here with us. My prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

Spud was a dear friend to my mom, Mary Adams. I remember his voice on the phone always lifted her spirits so much. He was a kind, caring man who never failed to show his concern for others. He will be missed so much by so many people, and he was loved by all! My deepest sympathies to his family and countless friends.

It was a blessing to be a school friend at Misco High School, West Ridge, Arkansas, where you was a member of the Class of 1957. Will always remember all of us(Misco, Dyess, Lepanto) dancing Rock N Roll at Garner's Drive-In and Carter's Drive-In in 50's, what fun we had. I last saw Spud sometime ago at Terrapin Derby. Dixie, Kay, Murel, Spud, Tommy and me, met to have breakfast, and yep it was where Garner's use to be!!

Uncle Spud was one of a kind. Always laughing and cutting up. I have so many good memories. I love him and will miss him. Nonnie and kids, please know I love all of you. WE WERE NEIGHBORS AND SCHOOLMATES OF SPUDS. SPUD WAS ONE OF THOSE UNFORGETABLE PEOPLE THAT WE FEEL FORTUNATE TO HAVE KNOWN. WHEN HE WALKED INTO A ROOM, EVERYONE WOULD NOTICE.
