Ursula Ellis Obituary

Ursula Harris Ellis entered eternal life on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at the age of 85. She was born to the late Jesse Harris and Thelma Evans Harris and raised in New Orleans, LA. Ursula later relocated to Houston, TX in 2005. She attended Joseph S. Clark Senior High School and worked as a cosmetologist for many years before taking on the role of Parent Liaison at Joseph A. Hardin Elementary School for more than 20 years. Devoted mother of Thomas A. Ellis, III, Ted T. Ellis and Lisa Ellis Hicks. Sister of Joseph Harris, the late Harry, Rudolph and Vernon Harris, Elsie Poree and Germaine Rainey. In addition to her children and brother, Ursula is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends who are all invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration service honoring the life of the late Ursula Harris Ellis will be held at St. Mark's Fourth Baptist Church, 2130 Perdido Street, New Orleans, LA 70112 on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 11 am, Rev. Robert Turner, Sr., Officiating. Interment Providence Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Metairie, LA. Visitation 9 am in the church. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing at all times. Please sign online guestbook at www.charbonnetfuneralhome.com.
