KENNEDY Verena Kennedy entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 10, 2012. She was the proud mother of Patricia Jones and John Tennessee (nephew). Sister of Ester Anderson (Natchez, MS) and Irma Jean Briggs. Mother-in-law of Melissa Tennessee and Colonel Jones. Sister-in-law of Diane Patterson. She was blessed with five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Rose Mary "RoRo"; her husband Ben Kennedy, Jr., and siblings: James Patterson, Jr., Lee E. Patterson, Alberta Logan, Charlotte Johnson, and Louise Sanders. Relatives, friends of the family, also Pastor, Officers and members of Little Mount. Olive B.C., First Emanuel B.C., Mt. Moriah B.C., New Beginning B.C., employees of Tulane Medical Center, Ocshner Hospital, Dr. James A. Loyola D.M.D. along with staff, Bunny and Dudley Smith are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Saturday, March 17, 2012 for 10:00AM at Little Mount Olive B.C., 3709 General Taylor St., New Orleans, LA 70125.
