She had been a resident of Rosie's Adult Care Home, for the past year.
She was born April 2, 1910, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to John and Charlotte Statler.
Mom grew up in Wyoming

she and her sister drove the

Her history in Pasco started in the 1940s where she helped run Frank's service station and later owned Snow White Laundry.
Mom retired from the senior companion program at the age of 84.
She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing bingo. Mom also loved country music, especially Alan Jackson.
She was known to all by 'mom' or 'Gramma D' to anyone that needed her. She devoted her life to helping others, children in the church nursery, her old people and at all times her family and grandchildren who were very important to her and whom she loved very much.
Mom is survived by sons, Robert 'Bob' VanSickel and his wife, Bitsy of Glen Rose, TX (Bobby, Donnie, Delbert and Tammy), John VanSickel and his wife, Linda of Roseville, CA, and Floyd DeVilleneuve and his wife, Christine of Pasco, WA (Christopher, Kim and Kate); daughter, Pam Leighton and her husband, Larry of Pasco, WA (Melissa and Brian); stepdaughter, Joyce Bleth and her husband, John, of Vancouver, WA, (Jack, Mike and Steve); daughter-in-law, Arlene VanSickel of Bakersfield, CA (Jim, Charlene, Darlene, Don and Ken); sister, Grace Davis of Newcastle, WY; brother, Dale Statler, and his wife, Theo of Tenino, WA; 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; sons, Don and Charlie VanSickel; one grandson and several brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2004, at 12 Noon at the home of Floyd DeVilleneuve, 5521 W. Sylvester, Pasco.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pasco Senior Citizens Center, 1315 N. 7th Avenue, Pasco, WA 99301.

To Floyd, Christine, Chris, Kim and Katie DeVilleneuve,

My thoughts are with you all. I did not know your MOM or Grandmother, but she must have been someone very special to have a family like y'all.

Love, Ruth Hogle-Reasor
