Verna Mae Leona Williams, age 83, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. She attended Joseph S. Clark High School and was a retired Insurance Agent. Beloved wife of the late Willie Williams. Loving mother of Ronnie (Theresa) Wilson, Arthur Williams, Crystal Williams, Kerry Williams, Yolanda (Reginald) Brossard, Pamela Williams, Robin (Pastor Nelson) Dexter, and the late David Williams. Grandmother of the late Savannah Robinson. Daughter of the late Woodland Wilson and Blanche Wilson. Granddaughter of the late Sidney and Clara Honore. Sister of Eyvonne Morris, and the late Elizabeth Wilson. Sister-in-law of the late Paul Morris and Earl Celius. Verna is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Temple of Praise Ministries and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Temple of Praise Ministries, 1840 Commercial Dr. Harvey, LA on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Nelson Dexter, officiating.
