Vikki Wilson Obituary

Vikki Wilson, 58 of Metairie, LA., passed away on October 8th at East Jefferson General Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She was born on January 1, 1947, in Mooresville, N.C. She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years Wallace 'Bill' Wilson, and beloved son Daniel Folse of New Orleans. Her parents are Harry Gonyer, Sr., of Brattleboro, Vermont, the late Helen Gonyer Grant and stepfather, Joe Grant, of Franklin, Mass. Her brothers are: Larry Brown of Mooresville, N.C.: Harry Gonyer, Jr. of Columbia, MD. and James Grant of Woonsocket, RI. Her sisters are: Margaret 'Maggie' Wagner of Slidell, LA, and Maxine LaChance of Whitinsville, Mass. In addition, she is survived by her Aunt and Uncle, Margaret and Tennyson Mann of Altavista, VA. Vikki was a member of Kenner First United Methodist Church. Vikki was a Cost Estimator for Bean Dredging Co., Cost Projection Office Engineer for T.L. James Dredging Co., and Quality Control Manager for Maharrey Houston Construction Company. She was a member of the Western Dredging Association (WEDA) and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). Vikki's motto was 'love life, live long, and laugh often.' She always said 'I just want to have fun.' Arrangements are being made through Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home at 1717 Veterans Boulevard, Metairie, LA. Please call the funeral home or check their website www.lamanapannofalloveteransblvd.com for exact details. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society. Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Mooresville, N.C., at a later date.
